The reasons for this change in young people's behavior are many; Some are deep reasons and some are reasons that have arisen in recent times. The main reason for the depth is the liberation of Arab youth from inhibitions that characterized the previous generations. In their book "The Upright Generation" which was published twenty years ago, the sociologists Dani Rabinovitch and Khaula Abu Becker discuss the changes that have taken place in the Arab sector in Israel since 1948: the first generation was a bent generation that experienced the defeat of 1948, its first degree relatives became refugees in Arab countries and it survived under a government Military until 1966. The second generation began to stand up: born within the State of Israel, received health, education and work services, learned Hebrew and integrated into the economy. The third generation, the upright one, walks with the feeling that he deserves to enjoy the equal rights - in studies, work, salary - that he was taught about in school and university. The daughters of the third generation rebel against the patriarchal hegemony of their society and come out as a buffer against the national characteristics of the Jewish state. Former member of the Knesset Hanin Zoevi, now 53 years old, faithfully represents the girls of the upright generation.
The young Arabs of today, the generation after Hanin Zoevi, are the generation that is taking over. They recognize in front of them a conflicted Jewish public that is unable to establish an orderly government, led by a hedonistic prime minister whose cases are sewn up by the prosecutor's office, replaced by a prime minister that he does not control, a public whose resilience is castrated time and time again by the judicial system, frightened by panic-inducing media , immersed in the pursuit of the pleasures of life, removes Jewish and Zionist content from the curriculum, supports left-wing parties that erased Zionism from their platform, reduces the volunteering of his sons to combat units and confiscates their licensed guns from gun owners in the mixed cities.
The young Arab sees the extensive destructive activity of "Jewish" associations such as the Abraham Foundation initiatives, Ir Amim, Emek Shaveh, Breaking the Silence, Shalom Now, Rabbis for Human Rights (as long as he is not Jewish of course), Doctors for Human Rights (as above) and others financed by funds such as the New Israel Foundation and he concludes from this that the Jewish public has given up on the Jewish state.
The young Arab sees how the state allows European countries and American foundations to support hundreds of anti-Zionist organizations in Israel and the Jewish State and does nothing to stop this flow of money and he draws the only conclusion: the Jewish state is committing suicide.
The government's reliance on the Islamic movement and its party in the Knesset, Ra'am, is the crowning glory of Zionist weakness. Every Arab in Israel knows that the goal of the Islamic movement is to eliminate the State of Israel as the state of the Jewish people, and its sitting in the Knesset is intended to qualify itself in the eyes of the Jewish public and enable it to act against his state From within his House of Representatives, when the elected members of the movement and their actions against the state are covered under parliamentary immunity. The Islamic movement could not hope for a greater achievement than this, thanks to the stupidity of the Israeli judicial system which does not understand the purpose of the Islamic movement and therefore allowed it to run for the Knesset.
